This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes uses that DevBlue Research, LLC ("DevBlue Research", "we", "us", or "our") prohibits when you access or use devblue.com (the "Site"), including submitting information through our contact form. It supplements our Terms of Service.
The examples below are not exhaustive. We may modify this AUP at any time by posting a revised version on the Site. By using the Site, you agree to the current version of this AUP. If you violate this AUP, or authorize or help others to do so, we may restrict or block your access to the Site.
You may not use the Site, or submit content through the contact form, for any illegal, harmful, or offensive purpose, or to transmit or make available content that is illegal, harmful, or offensive. Prohibited activities and content include:
Illegal activities. Any activity that violates the law, including fraud, gambling operations, or the distribution of child sexual abuse material.
Harmful or fraudulent activities. Activities that may harm others or our operations or reputation, including fraudulent schemes, phishing, pharming, or other deceptive practices.
Infringing content. Content that infringes or misappropriates the intellectual property or proprietary rights of others.
Offensive content. Content that is defamatory, obscene, abusive, harassing, invasive of privacy, or otherwise objectionable.
Harmful code. Content or technology that may damage, interfere with, intercept, or expropriate any system, program, or data, including viruses, Trojan horses, worms, or other malicious code.
You may not use the Site to violate the security or integrity of any network, computer, or communications system, software application, or computing device (each, a "System"). Prohibited activities include:
Unauthorized access. Accessing or using any System without permission, including probing, scanning, or testing the vulnerability of a System or breaching any security or authentication measures.
Interception. Monitoring data or traffic on a System without permission.
Falsification of origin. Forging any packet or message header, or any part of a message describing its origin or route, including the use of aliases or anonymous remailers to disguise identity.
You may not make network connections to any users, hosts, or networks unless you have permission to do so. Prohibited activities include:
Monitoring or crawling. Monitoring or crawling the Site in a way that impairs or disrupts it.
Denial of service. Overwhelming any System with requests so that it cannot respond to legitimate traffic or responds too slowly to be effective.
Intentional interference. Interfering with the proper functioning of any System, including any deliberate attempt to overload a System through flooding or similar techniques.
Avoiding restrictions. Using manual or automated means to bypass any use limitations placed on the Site, such as rate limits or access restrictions.
You may not use the contact form or any other feature of the Site to distribute unsolicited mass messages, advertising, promotions, or solicitations (spam). You may not alter or obscure message headers or assume another person's identity without their permission.
We reserve the right, but do not assume the obligation, to investigate any violation of this AUP or misuse of the Site. We may remove or disable access to any content that violates this AUP and may restrict or block access to the Site. We may report activity we reasonably suspect violates any law to appropriate law enforcement officials or regulators and may cooperate with them, including by disclosing relevant information.
